Tom has lived in Chicago approximately six years and other than becoming a Cub fan, considers Chicago home.
Prior to coming to Chicago, he spent seventeen years in the hospitality business, operating hotels and restaurants in various parts of the country. He is originally from St Louis where his family still remains. Recently married, Tom and his wife Julie live and play in Andersonville along with two dogs and a cat.
Currently, Tom is Executive Director of The Clare at Water Tower, a luxury high-rise retirement community located in the heart of the Gold Coast. He’s spent six years in the retirement community industry. He has sat on a variety of boards and held officer positions on several. Tom also is active in the community through volunteerism and his twelve years as a member of Rotary.
Director - Andy Swindler
A sideline supporter of 137 since the beginning, Andy recently realized that there might be more to this group than winning raffles, so he joined the board.
Andy brings expertise from building his own interactive marketing company, Astek Consulting, which helps clients reach audiences by designing and implementing web technology as unique and powerful as the messages it conveys.
He is currently Vice President of the Promethean Theatre Ensemble board of directors. As a pianist and percussionist, Andy has had the pleasure of jamming with at least three 137 members. Look for him drumming for musical theater around Chicago or perfecting his iguana's tropical habitat in his spare time.
